JBE Welcomes NH Congressman Chris Pappas to Discuss HIADs and Future Opportunities in Aerospace Manufacturing

Jackson Bond Enterprises LLC (JBE) was honored to welcome Congressman Chris Pappas on a visit to our facility today. The visit provided an opportunity for JBE to showcase our innovative work in the aerospace industry and discuss the recent success of JBE’s Flexible Thermal Protection Systems for NASA’s LOFTID mission

JBE Team with Congressman Pappas

During the visit, Congressman Chris Pappas engaged in discussions with the JBE team, led by President and CEO Bruce Bond, regarding the role JBE plays in advancing space exploration and the necessary scale-up required to further NASA’s Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator (HIAD) technology. This technology enables a variety of proposed NASA missions to destinations such as Mars, Venus, Titan as well as return to Earth.

The recent success of the LOFTID mission, which utilized JBE’s Flexible Thermal Protection System (FTPS), has sparked increased interest from both commercial aerospace companies and governmental organizations. For example, United Launch Alliance (ULA) plans to use HIADs to recover their boosters as part of their Smart Reuse sustainability program. This visit provided a valuable platform for us to discuss the significance of our FTPS, not only for NASA but also for other government and private sector companies interested in utilizing this technology for their space exploration initiatives.

We extend our gratitude to Congressman Pappas for taking the time to visit and engaging in meaningful conversations. We appreciate his continued support for the aerospace industry in New Hampshire and his dedication to promoting technological advancements that drive space exploration forward.
