Braiding is defined as the weaving of three or more strands of material. In the aerospace industry, braiding is used to make sleeving, multilayered braided ropes, and fiber preforms.
Jackson Bond’s engineers are braiding experts. JBE has developed new techniques and equipment for braiding high temperature and fragile fibers such as Nextel™, Carbon, and Silicon Carbide.
JBE has multiple braiding machines (braiders) to support a variety of customer needs. Our braiders can be specially modified to handle delicate fibers. They range in size from small 8 carrier braiders to a 144 carrier braider that stands 12 feet tall. For more information about our braiding capabilities please contact us.
