JBE attends NSMMS Symposium for the second year in a row

JBE returned as an exhibitor to the National Space & Missile Materials Symposium (NSMMS) for the second year in a row. This year, NSMMS was held in Westminster, CO, June 22-23. NSMMS is a great opportunity for us to connect with other companies and people who are innovators and creators in the aerospace industry.

This year, NASA asked JBE to create a model of our Flexible Thermal Protection System (F-TPS) for their Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator (HIAD) mini model. It was displayed at NASA’s booth during NSMMS symposium, and NASA plans to bring it to other events such as the Game Changing Development Technology Day and CAMX so people can get an up close and hands on experience with HIAD. Check out the video below and watch our engineers fabricate the model F-TPS.

JBE highlighted our thermal protection system and thermal seal capabilities at NSMMS. We continue to innovate, improve, and refine our work in these markets. We have become experts with an ever increasing and expanding knowledge of materials, processes, and techniques.
