JBE’s ISO 9001 Certification
Jackson Bond Enterprises, LLC’s quality management system (QMS) has officially been certified as ISO 9001 compliant. For a small business like JBE, this is a big step forward towards growth. The certification provides the opportunity for JBE to grow by pursuing contracts and projects that require ISO 9001 certification.
For those of you who may not be familiar with ISO 9001, it sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the ISO 9000 family that can be certified to. The standard is based on several principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement. Essentially it is a written set of processes and procedures that ensures that we say what we do, do what we say, and record it.
A three person team comprised of Justin Bond, JP LaTourette and Sarah Shannon took on the task of developing, documenting, and implementing the quality management system at JBE. The team was dedicated and committed to the goal of certification and the success is a victory for the company. The whole JBE team survived the two stages of audits with zero findings and much praise from the certification auditor.

The transition from not having a QMS to having a certified QMS, can be difficult due to the level of documentation required within the standard and because new procedures must be established. We are proud of the effort put forth by everyone at JBE who has worked hard to understand and seamlessly implement the system.
This ISO 9001 certification is an addition to a growing list of changes for the company over the last two years. We’ve launched a new website and designed a logo, moved into a larger, more adaptable building, increased our customer base, attended our first trade show as an exhibitor, and have kept in place an amazing team who has adapted and evolved right along with the business.
Jackson Bond Enterprises, LLC is poised for growth and development. We are mastering the manufacturing of our proprietary thermal protection systems, expanding our thermal seal production line, and continually diversifying the products we manufacture. With the arrival of 2016, Jackson Bond is entering its twelfth year in operation. There is so much more to come and we are excited for the opportunities on the horizon.
